Report from local coordinator Nathanael

Now that the group has returned to Holland, it is hard to believe that we made and experienced so many things in these weeks together.

There were a lot of activities to do and so many people involved with us so it was a challenge organize everything, although the Leader of the group at charge, Theunis and our team made and excellent job and a memorable project for everyone.

As we know the group arrived Sunday 17/07 at 6:50 am (local time) and after passing migration we started with our schedule, we try to make a schedule together for the first week so we knew what to do and who was in charge of the task and areas of the project. The next weeks we made the same and putting more importance in the building and cultural actives.
The local staff and for me the first project as coordinator we saw that was a close and really energic group. We established a connection easily. It was easy to start the activities at the building place, because they were always working. And directed by Esther, the cultural activities we were always preparing activities and some days having interaction with the locals thank to the coordination with Matthias. The kids activities were amazing thanks to Nane, the teachers of the school recognize that it was a beautiful time together between the Dutchies and the kids. Finally the group was amazing, they gave 110% of them during the project. Maybe thats why some of them got really tired the last days although they continued working and sharing.
The cook Hilma, the translators Karla and Ademar also recognized every effort and flexibility of the group.
The community was really kind and visiting and inviting us to visit their houses and have activities with them.

As we know the objective of the group was to show the love of Jesus Crist through our actions. I am sure that we made an huge impact in each person that did meet us during this time.

Finally, I am really satisfied because it was and excellent group, and we made an excellent job together. Even at the end when some guy were feeling a little sick, the were sharing with the kids and the people of El Torno at the good bye activities.
