How does the community and school in Milenje doing nine years after the visit of World Servants group MA111? Project coordinator Mussa visited them and reports...

The school was visited on the 9th day of October 2020 and the community was very excited about the visit considering that it has been a while since CCAP visited them for supervision of the school. The school has a lady Head teacher and the community is happy because its one way of promoting gender equality. They also hailed the lady as a hardworking lady. The school continues to grow since the world servants group left as they have currently constructed 2 teachers’ houses and 2 classrooms. They are also currently renovating the other teachers’ houses. The school also registered a very low dropout rate of learners which was 0.01 % for the academic year. The community is very thankful to world servants for constructing 2 classrooms, head teachers office, 2 teachers houses, two toilets and a Girls Changing room. The structures have helped ease accommodation challenges for both teachers and learners. This has translated into quality education and good performance of learners. The community is still in need of 4 teachers houses, feeding shelter, toilets, Desks and also the borehole for the school broke down and needs repair.
