Visit at Makhuwira school

Project update van 7 februari 2022 door Mussa Nyirenda

The community is eager to receive the team, as they are waiting to work together for so long now.

Makhuwira school is one of the schools that will host a World Servants group this year and the community has been expecting to host the group for two years now. Much as the community has lost hope that the group may not come due to the covid pandemic but they are still optimistic that they will host the group. The foundation that was constructed in 2020 is still waiting for the group to come and construct the classrooms together with the community. The community through support from the group is also constructing a semi-permanent school block which is already at an advanced stage. The school has 9 qualified teachers of which 3 are female and 6 are male. The school has an enrolment of 244 learners. The community members are currently busy working in their gardens since its rainy season. The borehole that was drilled with support from World Servants through Eric is helping the community and the school to have access to portable water in the community. In general, the community is eagerly looking forward to host the group this year. I wasn't able to meet the community as there was a funeral ongoing.
