Aung Paing Hein en Naw Paw zijn blij met hun nieuwe woning

De woningen voor medisch personeel in Mawlamyine zijn klaar en in gebruik! Wat ziet het er prachtig uit! Inmiddels wonen 11 families in het gebouw waarvan in ieder geval één gezinslid in het ziekenhuis werkt. Aung Paing Hein en Naw Paw zijn twee van deze medewerkers en zij vertellen wat de nieuwe woningen voor hen betekenen..
* Aung Paing Hein – Prothetisch Assistant
Aung Paing Hein woont op de tweede verdieping van het gebouw, is getrouwd en woont samen met zijn vader en broers. Aung Paing Hein werkt in het MCLH ziekenhuis sinds 2018. Hij woonde sindsdien met zijn vader en twee broers in een kamer beschikbaar gesteld door het ziekenhuis. In 2021 trouwde hij en werd de kamer te klein voor de hele familie. Tijdens de bouw van de nieuwe woningen was hij vaak op de bouwplaats te vinden en hij was ook vrijwilliger toen het World Servants team er was. Hij hoopte altijd dat hij de kans zou krijgen om ook in een van de nieuwe woningen te wonen zodra ze klaar zouden zijn. Aung Paing Hein: “Now that I have a apartment as I have imagined, I am very happy. Me and my wife can have our separate room and it is spacious enough for my father and brothers also. I really want to thank the World Servants team and the hospital.”

“Before moving to the apartment at the hospital, I had been renting a small room outside the hospital for 40,000 Myanmar Kyats per month for 8 year, which was really a struggle for the family income. My son always said he wishes to get a house for his parents when he gets older, so I always wished that my children could stays in a house. Now my wish has come true, we are able to stay in a house with more space. The children feel safer and happy to live in a clean environment. When the children's friends come to visit, my children are happy to host them in a much spacious and airy room. We thank World Servants who build the building and the Hospital who took responsibility for the completion of the building.”
