Hpado's gebouw staat, na de heftige aardbeving in Myanmar

Op 28 maart 2025 is Myanmar getroffen door een aardbeving. Deze had een kracht van 7,7 op de schaal van Richter. Het gebouw in Hpado heeft een aantal scheuren, maar staat nog stevig, ondanks de heftige natuurramp.

Na de aardbeving op 28 maart 2025 is de schade in het land groot. We hebben contact opgenomen met onze partner, TLM Myanmar. Projectmanager Zin Mar Theint vertelt het volgende:

Regarding the recent earthquake, I wanted to share that, fortunately, the World Servants project buildings were not significantly affected. There is only a small crack in the building at Taungoo. However, the situation is more serious for some of our team members' houses and our office in Mandalay have been badly affected. We are doing our best to support them and assess needs of community; persons with disabilities and persons affected by leprosy. We deeply appreciate your concern and continued prayers during this time: they mean a lot to us.
