Vandaag een bericht van Telesphore, coördinator van Help a Child Rwanda.
Yesterday, we celebrated the closure of World Servants project RW223 in Kivugiza, Rwanda. This was a significant milestone and the event was filled with joy and excitement. The celebration was adorned with captivating cultural dances that showcased the vibrant traditions of the Rwandan community and to which the Dutch group didn't hesitate to jump and dance with the community members. Additionally, heartfelt appreciation speeches were delivered to honor the remarkable achievements of WS in such a remarkably short time (less than 3 weeks).
It is important to acknowledge that WS' impact extended beyond the construction of the ECD facility. They fostered community cultural exchange through various activities, including a children's program that helped young minds learn through games and songs. Furthermore, WS facilitated a youth life skills program, empowering young individuals with essential skills and knowledge for their personal and professional growth by exchanging with the Rwandan youth. Moreover, WS fostered meaningful interactions by being part of local churches and visiting households.
